The Hamrun table Football Club was established in 1985 as the Hamrun Table Soccer League (HTSL) and began to organise a legaue on a home and away basis, with the matches being played at the members' homes. The first six members of the club were Frank Chetcuti, Mario Spiteri, Stephen Grima, Stephen Caruana, Marco Mallia and Vince Bellizzi. At the time, two league’s used to be organized. These were the summer edition and the winter edition. The first ever Hamrun champion was Vince Bellizzi winning the summer edition in season 1984/1985. The winter edition in the same season was won by Frank Chetcuti.

In May 1989 the club changed its name to Hamrun Subbuteo Club (HSC), and in July of that same year an agreement was reached with the Immaculate Conception Youth Centre situated in Hamrun in order to start hosting the club's competitions inside their premises.

In September 1990 the club's name was changed to Hamrun Table Football Club (HTFC) and from January 1991 up to March 2001 the club's competitions were held inside the Bank of Valletta Sports and Social Club.

In March 2001, the Bank of Valletta Sports and Social Club announced that it would be closing the club; therefore the club had to find new premises where to meet and organize its competitions. The club moved to their new premises provided very generously by one of its members (Alan Azzopardi) to be able to continue the season. The premises were located at 18, St. Angelo street, St. Julians.

A major event in the club's history occurred in February 2003 when HTFC acquired new premises in Birkirkara. These premises were exclusively used by the HTFC and totally managed by the HTFC committee. A bar was also run by the club.

An unfortunate incident occurred when a major storm hit our country which drowned the premises completely. Both rooms were completely filled with rain and destroyed all the equipment and premises. After the storm the premises were not accessible any more as damages were also made to the structure of the building, and it was decided that it wasn’t safe to use the place anymore.

In October 2004 a new deal was made with the Malta Baskteball Association to acquire new premises. The MBA was in a position to offer us a room situated inside the Basketball sports pavilion. This room is completely dedicated to the club, where all the club competitions are organised.
