Match Reports - Saturday 15th October 2005
Published: 16/10/2005
Premier League – Kenneth Attard 3 Matthew Sapiano 0
Kenneth Attard performed another brilliant performance to confirm his top of the table position winning 3-0 against Matthew Sapiano. There were few things Matthew could do before surrendering to the powers of Kenneth who managed to get on the score sheet 3 times until the match ended. This is definitely not the match were Matthew would be looking to win points.
Premier League – Patrick Pace 0 Stefan Pace 1
This was the toughest match of the day with Patrick still looking for his first win while Stefan still with full points aiming to continue with his winning streak. It was a very well balance match with both teams playing a fair part in attack. Throughout the first half both players were very catious focusing more on not making any defensive mistakes rather than attacking. It was Stefan who scored the first and only goal of the match in the second half after a very well created attack. He then tried and managed to control the match leaving Patrick with no chance to score the equiliser.
Premier League – Joseph Bugeja 0 Ilai Zammit Marmara’ 3
A fine performance by Ilai made sure of the victory just before half time scoring the three goals all in the first half. Ilai’s attack was very fast and accurate which left Joseph with great difficulty to try and control his attacks. If it wasn’t for some inaccurate shots by Ilai the score could have been even bigger. It was only in the final minutes of the match that Joseph managed to produce two fine attacks that were both blocked by Ilai’s keeper.
Premier League – Joseph Bugeja 1 Patrick Pace 3
Joseph’s performance after his previous match against Ilai improved drastically. The first half ended with the score still 0-0. Both players created a couple of goal opportunities wasting them in the final moves before being through on goal. In the half time Patrick substituted his team, which proved to be a good move because in the first minute of play he managed to score a first timer. Joseph wasn’t let down by this, taking more players in attack searching for the equiliser. He in fact managed to score the equiliser to get the score 1-1. Patrick was not happy with the draw and put more players in attack to try and win the match. He managed to score a goal to put him in front. Joseph again tried to attack this but with more players because he was running out of time. It was then that Patrick managed to score the third and final goal of the match from a counter attack.
Junior League – Matthew Pace 2 Gianluca Degabriele 0
Matthew secured his 2nd win of the season to put him first in the Junior’s league. Matthew’s solid performance earned him a deserved victory. This was Gianluca’s first match of the season and career so he went to the match without ever really expecting anything out of this match.
Junior League – Adam Gatt 0 Sergio Degabriele 0
The 0-0 draw is a fair result were none of the two did enough to secure the win. This was Sergio’s first game of the season. Adam was looking for the three points to earn his first points of the season. None of the two players created enough scoring opportunities to score a goal.
