Fair Play Trophy

The fair play trophy should be awarded to the player that not only plays fair during his competitive games, but also for his voluntary time and hard work that he provides towards the club and its members.

Attendance at the club is another important factor which indicates enthusiasm and serves as a means to look forward to the following Saturday afternoon to continue the season.

The fair play trophy candidates should also be helpful when needing referees for league matches. Unfortunately the referee problem exists everywhere in our sport. It is becoming an annoying attitude or should I say approach that every time someone is asked to volunteer for a referee hardly anyone would be willing to help out. I remember way back in the past that refereeing was not such a big issue as it is today.

With the three most important factors being sportsmanship, attendance and refereeing, the committee members at the end of the season must come up with one person to who to assign this season’s Fair Play Trophy.
