Kenneth Attard wins Summer Cup

A last minute equalizer in his last match was enough for Kenneth Attard to win this season’s Summer Cup. After a fine performance winning 6-1 against Ilai Zammit Marmara’ in the first match and a goalless draw against Stefan Pace, Kenneth had to come back twice in a 2-2 draw against Mario Camilleri in the last match to win the Cup. It was only his last goal against Mario in the last 30 seconds that secured the first silverware for Attard.

After a disappointing start, Ilai Zammit Marmara’ finished second in the group after beating Stefan Pace 2-1 in his last match. In the other match it finished 1-1 against Camilleri who drew 1-1 against Stefan Pace.

The Group finished as follows;

Stefan Pace                  2pts

In the 5-8th group placings, Patrick Pace defeated Andre Grima 4-0 and Alan Azzopardi 2-0 and drew 0-0 against Matthew Sapiano to finish top of the group. Second placed Matthew Sapiano beat Andre Grima 3-0 and drew 1-1 and 0-0 against Alan and Patrick respectively. Alan finished third winning against Andre.
