Luck started by Hamrun's side when the polls for the groups were drawn. Hamrun avoided the teams mostly quoted in the tournament. They faced Valletta SC team B and Cardiff Bluebirds. Hamrun dominated both games winning 4-0 against both teams to win the group. In the semi final Hamrun met AS Hennuyer who qualified in second place from the other group.
Hamrun started the match brilliantly winnig three out of the four matches through Patrick Pace, Mario Camilleri and Mark Zammit. However, AS Hennuyer did not dimotivate themselves and made a comeback to overturn the result on 2 matches. The final score ended with AS Hennuyer winning 2-1. Mario Camilleri won the match, Patrick Pace drew, Kenneth Attard and Mark Zammit were on the losing side. Despite the result this was a good performance from the Hamrun TFC team with certain players who were away from the game have now regained the competitive experience to look ahead for future games. The tournament was won by AS Hennuyer who won the final against Valletta SC 2-1.
