Five out of the seven open players passed the initial group stage. Ilai Zammit Marmara' qualified as runner up after loosing to Massimo Cremona who the day before had won the International Open 2-1. Kenneth Attard qualified as runner up to Laurent Goor after beating Marco Mifsud. Stefan Pace also qualified from the group placing second, with Dave Pawsey winning the group. Mario Camilleri qualified as second place with Derek Conti winning the group. Patrick Pace finished runner up in his group with David Fraikin winning the group. Joseph Bugejja and Mark Zammit did not qualify from their respective group.

In the Barrage there was a club derby with Ilai Zammit Marmara' and Mario Camilleri playing each other. Mario won the match 1-0 to advance to the next stage after making an excellent performance against Ilai. Kenneth Attard won his match against Charles Axisa with a narrow 1-0 result. Stefan Pace faced David Fraikin and managed to win 2-1. Patrick Pace won 2-1 against David Lauder to qualify to the next stage.

Four players qualified for the last 16. Patrick Pace faced one of the hardest opponents possible, Massimo Cremona who the day before had won the International Open. Patrick made a great performance and managed to eliminate world ranked number two to advance to the quarter final after beating Massimo 2-1. Kenneth Attard faced Saverio Bari and he had to surrender after Saverio managed to beat Kenneth 2-0. Stefan Pace faced Hansel Mallia. This match brought old memories back as this used to be a hot encounter in the competitions organised by the Hamrun TFC.  This was a cracker of a match with the result changing often. Stefan went out victorious winning the match 3-2. Mario Camilleri could do very few against Italian top player Francesco Mattiangeli loosing 4-1.

Two out of the eight quarter finalists were Hamrun TFC players. Patrick Pace faced Saverio Bari and Stefan Pace faced Laurent Goor. Saverio won the match against Patrick 1-0. Stefan won dominantly his match 3-1.

Stefan Pace qualified to the semi final where he faced Saverio Bari. Saverio continued with his great run on the day beating Stefan 3-1. Stefan's consolation is the great goal he scored from long range. Saverio went on to win the Grand Prix against Mark Gauci 1-0.

Edward Said took part in the Under 15 category where he faced much more experienced players. He placed third from a group of four players. However this result is positive to keep working for a bright future.

In the Under 13 category out of the eight participants, seven players were Hamrun TFC players. Matthew Pace and Andrew Abela qualified from group 1 winning convincingly against one of the youngest players of the tournament Gianluca Degabriele. In group 2 Adam Gatt and Brandon Farrugia qualified, whilst Dennis Dalli and Sergio Degabriele qualified from group 3. In the barrage Andrew Abela won against Dennis Dalli 3-0, whilst Brandon won 2-1 against Sergio. In the semi finals Adam Gatt eliminated Andrew Abela convincingly with a 2-0 scoreline, whilst Matthew won against Brandon 2-1. Adam and Matthew faced each other in the final to bring memories of the current challenge both players are facing in the club Junior category. The match ended 0-0 with both players more focused on not conceeding the goal rather than scoring the goal. Matthew created a great attack and managed to score in sudden death period to win the category and make it two in a row after winning the International Open under 13 category the day before.

In the Veteran category it was Patrick Pace once again who won the tournament convincingly after beating the challenge of Mario Spiteri, Joseph Debono and Emmanuel Ellul. Patrick won both tournaments and showed his supremacy in the category.
