During the weekend of the 7th and the 8th of November, the current local table football champions Hamrun TFC will be representing Malta in the FISTF Europa Cup, the annual European Championship for table football clubs.
Hamrun TFC are the current table football clubs' national title holders, after last season they won their tenth championship when they beat Valletta SC with a 2-1 score line in the final decisive match.
This year's Europa Cup will be held in Tournai, Belgium and a total of 32 teams will be participating.
In the group stage of the competition, the teams will be split into four groups of eight teams from which the top four teams from each group will qualify for the knockout phase. The draw of the group stage will take place on Friday 6th November.
The Hamrun TFC team for this competition will be composed of Kenneth Attard, Mario Camilleri, Stefan Pace and Ilai Zammit Marmara'. The squad will leave Malta on the 5th of November and returns on the 9th.
The level of this competition is expected to be very high and the most favourite teams to win the title are Italy's Black & Blue Pisa, winners of the last two editions, Reggio Emilia and Stella Artois Milano, Austria's TFC Mattersburg and Belgium's SC Charleroi.
